A special silicone product, supplied by the Construction Chemicals of Boksburg, was specified for the structurally glazed curtain walls of the new MTN Campus premises in Roodepoort.

Dow Corning 993 is an adhesive/sealant specifically developed to meet the high criteria of the new European standards for structural glazing.

The adhesive was used to bond the glass to the framing of the curtain walls of the campus facade.

The subcontractor for the project was Grinaker-LTA Facades, a specialist facade-cladding business unit within the Grinaker-LTA group.
