Industrial property manager and developer Equites Property Fund (FDP) joined PSG Konsult as another new listing on the JSE on Wednesday.

The listing takes to six the number of main board listings this year - hardly a boom - but a significant turnaround from a couple of lean years on the listings front.

The property sector has taken up the bulk of the space - Equites is the fifth property fund to list this year.

Equites' portfolio consists of 17 prominent industrial and office properties valued at R1.2 billion situated in the Western Cape. Major tenants include Simba‚ Foschini‚ and Barloworld.

CEO of Equites Andrea Tavern-Turisan said the company was well placed to meet its growth targets while continuing to show positive income and capital growth.

The company's share price was last up 5% to R1.
