Djurk completed his articles at Ernst & Young and then joined the Department of Inland Revenue in the insurance and financial institution assessing division.
In 1996 he started an audit practice, Treisman Venter and Associates. In 2004 he joined Glass, Tucker and Venter (Chartered Accountants and Auditors) as partner.
Djurk was a non-executive director and chairman of the audit committee of Diversified Property Fund Limited.
