Mervyn has extensive experience in corporate governance, financial management and financial reporting.
Previous positions included chairman of the Fishing Industry Medical Aid Audit Committee, member of the City of Cape Town Audit Committee and trustee of the I&J Pension Fund.
Mervyn is currently a member of the audit committees of a number of Public Sector departments and entities and serves as the chairperson of the Western Cape Liquor Authority and a non-executive director of WP Blood Transfusion Services NPC
