Kenilworth redevelopment aids renewal

A prominent and well positioned site on the corner of Summerley and Main Roads in Kenilworth, Cape Town, is being redeveloped into a prime AAA grade commercial property which is expected to act as a catalyst for urban renewal in the area. Owned and developed by the Pam Golding Property group ‘Pam Golding on Main’ will comprise 4100sqm of offices and retail space, as well as 129 parking bays on two floors of secure, undercover parking.

Despite improvements to Century City's vacancy rate, concern at city level still persists. That being said, Giles Balmer of developers, Rabie Property Group, maintains that sales and lettings in phase two of Central Park, the Courtyard precinct, have gone well and has spurred the group on to launch phase three shortly

The City of Cape Town will be upgrading and expanding its public transport interchanges (PTIs) over the next five years, to accommodate the growth in demand for access and mobility across the city

A new 4000 sqm office block is to be developed at Century City, Cape Town, at a cost of R85million for The Business Centre group which claims it now represents the largest serviced-office infrastructure in the country
