New urban renewal project for Woodstock

Three neighbouring industrial buildings in Albert Road Woodstock are being redeveloped into a trendy, upmarket mixed use complex to be known as The Woodstock Exchange

A massive mixed-use precinct is currently in planning which could forever alter the face of what was once considered one of the most neglected sections of the CBD - namely the eastern fringe of the Cape Town foreshore area.

The new development – named ‘Culemborg Quarter’ – will result in the construction of 7 free-standing buildings in numerous phases over a period of a few years

After the excitement of the 2010 FIFA World Cup had died down, there was a noticeable slowdown in new property developments across South Africa. Cape Town was no exception to this, with little to no new developments of note coming to market – especially in the central business district (CBD). That has since changed, however, with a sudden influx of large, and in some cases significant projects commencing construction within the past few months

A custom developed 16,500sqm facility forming the new regional distribution centre for Ellerine Holdings Limited in Epping, Cape Town, was developed by Growthpoint who tailored the facility to client needs. The facility includes 2,000sqm of offices and a 14,500sqm warehouse and environmentally sound practices  were applied at every stage - from design and demolition through to materials and energy efficiency
