Habitaz Global Workspaces, provider of fully serviced office facilities and business services, has started selling its 1,800 square metres of prime space in Madison Property Group’s prestigious Convention Tower building in The Foreshore currently under completion

Having successfully operated in Johannesburg for over three years, Habitaz has brought its unique pay-per-use office concept to Cape Town to provide much-needed office facilities for mobile workers, international visitors, small businesses and independent consultants and contractors.

“We have over 300 business people making use of our Bryanston offices in Johannesburg and have recently completed an expansion of our facility there to meet rising demand,” says Andre Sharpe, Managing Director of Habitaz.

“Our research has shown us that there is a big need for a similar facility in Cape Town, especially in a fantastic upmarket location right next to the busy Cape Town International Convention Centre, with excellent access to the CBD and highways”.

Importantly, Sharpe believes the Habitaz concept is ideal for people looking for smaller, convenient office facilities that are not really catered for by traditional office offerings or lease agreements available in the market.

“We specifically chose the best site we could find in Cape Town to appeal to local, regional and international business people for whom location is a vital consideration.”

Apart from supplying vibey and modern, fully managed office facilities – which include meeting rooms, a café, hot-desking work areas, office suites, technology and business support services – Habitaz offers extremely flexible and convenient terms that negate the need for users to sign long and expensive lease agreements.

The centre is fully wireless-enabled, with broadband internet and VoIP phone systems and is set to become a base for local and international companies in need of flexible serviced office space in the City.

Habitaz also offer a world-first pre-paid office card for ad-hoc users.  Called the “GreenCard”, users can access all of Habitaz’ facilities and services on a cost-effective, pay-per-use basis. Individuals or companies can also sign longer term agreements or opt for a bundle of services. Users also get seamless access to other Habitaz facilities in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.

“We have had great success in Johannesburg by giving smaller companies and mobile professionals access to professional office infrastructure and services. We have also become a branch office for larger local and international companies that do not necessarily have their own office infrastructure in the city, and we expect to see a similar uptake in Cape Town,” says Sharpe.
