The two sites fall within the 140ha Estate d'Afrique and are the closest developments on the dam to Pretoria and Sandton.
The first development, Le Chateau, is a four-star hotel with 250 rooms situated on top of a hill overlooking the dam and the Crocodile River. It has a French Provengale theme.
James Ehlers, of Atterbury Property, says when the group heard about the Estate d'Afrique it bought the land to build a four-star hotel. "We will be developing Le Chateau with the Three Cities Hotel Group and Kondotel Lifestyles, the original developer of Estate dAfrique.
"The hotel development will include a spa, as well as exclusive conferencing and recreational facilities," says Ehlers.
The individual hotel rooms will be sold as sectional title investments and construction will begin in the middle of next year. All construction should be completed by the middle of 2008.
The second part of Atterbury's involvement at Estate d'Afrique is Beau Rivage, which consists of 101 erven on the banks of the Crocodile River.
