STELLENBOSCH-based Slaley Wine Estate is selling nine subdivided plots of 5ha each to wealthy investors wanting to be part of a well-known wine brand and to experience wine farm living.

Slaley is in the Simonsberg wine ward, one of SA’s best known and most awarded wine-growing areas.

The plots are elevated, with spectacular views facing either to the west over the region to the Durbanville hills and Table Mountain, or over vineyards and dams on to the Simonsberg mountains.

Slaley owner Lindsay Hunting, who inherited the 220ha farm from his father, is convinced that the value of the land being sold will appreciate faster than that of other Stellenbosch land because of the rising value of the Slaley brand.

Last year Slaley produced about 10000 9l-cases of wine under the Hunting Family, Slaley, Broken Stone and Shatot labels.
