Unit trust company Stanlib is launching a new batch of collective investment schemes because of the high level of demand for listed property.
It announced the introduction of three new funds this week: the Multi-Manager Flexible Property Fund, the International Property Fund and the Institutional Property Fund.
The company?s Property Income Fund and Multi-Manager Property Fund are both closed to new investment.
The International Property Fund invests across 250 property companies in 19 countries. Income is distributed half yearly. The Multi-Manager Flexible Property Fund is intended to give a positive return over 12 months. Its exposure to property can vary between 40% and 85%.
The Institutional Property Fund has a minimum investment of R10-million. Distributions are quarterly.
"Catalyst Securities has launched its Catalyst SA Property Equity Fund. The fund aims to be fully invested in the listed property sector, has an annual management fee of 1% and initial fee of 4% (both excluding VAT). Notably, it does not charge fees on distributions that are reinvested.
