The Damelin School of Banking has leased 548sqm of prime office space in the prestigious Belmont Office Park in Rondebosch (Cape Town), in a transaction concluded through Pam Golding Commercial (PGC), a member of the Pam Golding Property group.
Sales and leasing consultant for PGC Nadia Razis, says the capital value of the three-year lease is close to R1 million. Damelin now occupies the entire ground floor of Attwell House, one of the buildings within the Investec-owned office park.
Damelin relocated as they outgrew their previous premises in Claremont.
Director Ingrid Pearce says they took the decision to move to Belmont Office Park as it is centrally located and provides easy access, is secure and has sufficient parking. "Rondebosch is a 'university' suburb, and as the office park houses other educational institutions such as Varsity College and Afrec - UCT's training facility for economics skills, the venue is ideal as we all complement each other in such a way that will facilitate the flow of learners," she says.
Commenting on the commercial property market in Rondebosch Razis says that the office accommodation sector is active at present, with rentals ranging from R45 to R55 per square metre. "We will soon be marketing a unique opportunity for some 320sqm of prime office space with high visibility," she adds.
