Mall of Africa celebrates five year anniversary

The Mall of Africa is South Africa's largest shopping Mall ever built in a single phase. In its five years of existence, the Mall has racked up several accolades, including defending its title as the Sunday Times Coolest Mall. The Mall has also broken records in the realm of sustainable design and is currently the home of the largest rooftop Solar PV system in the Southern Hemisphere.

Mall of Africa is also considered the home of African art and currently holds the historic landmark sculpture, “There is no time like the present”, sculptured by local artist, Rina Stutzer. The 5.5m sculpture is a historic landmark piece created to reflect the abstract African continent, through the two ‘faces’ of Africa.
