Emira Property Fund appoints Greg Booyens as CFO

Emira Property Fund announced it has appointed Greg Booyens as Chief Financial Officer of the company from 1 January 2016.


Booyens is a CA (SA) with over 10 years’ experience in finance and operations management, which includes four years in the South African listed property sector. Booyens will leave his current position as CFO of Delta Property Fund at the end of the year.

Booyens’s career includes key roles with performance-driven companies, locally at Delta, and in the UK including Evolution Securities, Barclays Bank and UBS.

Geoff Jennett, CEO of Emira, comments: “Booyens will bring additional value and breadth to Emira with his listed property experience and financial knowledge. We look forward to his valued contribution.”

Emira is a JSE-listed REIT that is invested in a quality diversified portfolio of office, retail and industrial properties. Its assets comprise 145 properties valued at R12.7 billion. Emira is also internationally diversified through its direct interest in ASX-listed Growthpoint Properties Australia (GOZ), valued in excess of R796 million, with total property assets now at R13.5 billion.
