High Street Auctions first multi property Auction of 2014 knocks down 90% of the properties on market.

The 25 February 2014 High Street Auctions event, held at Summer Place in Hyde Park produced good results for the sellers.

An immaculate single level warehouse in Benrose was knocked down for R5.55 million. The property includes a large warehouse, small neat office component, roller shutter access, a loading dock, good natural light and a full sprinkler system.

A well maintained corporate office park comprising four adjacent office components in Ormonde with a GLA of ± 300m2 per block was sold for R7.35 million. The offices are currently partially let and can be sectionalised. The office park is on a corner stand on a busy route.

The modern factory complex in Germiston with four adjacent face brick units was knocked down for an impressive R13 million with lease. Each unit includes a factory and office component, parking and separate electrical meters.

Attorney instruction to auction this large family home in the ultra-secure Monaghan Farm Eco Estate went for the hammer price of R5.3 million. The home boasts four en-suite bedrooms, two reception rooms, a swimming pool, triple garage, a guest suite and incredible views.

Deceased estate of large multi-property in Turffontein was sold for R5 million. Large property with high potential investment returns. The property includes 40 let residential units, six shops, good security and ample parking.

Stately home in the secure Saddlebrook Estate, Kyalami, was sold for R10.5 million. The home features four large en-suite bathrooms, four double automated garages, two reception rooms, a swimming pool with covered patio and even a wine cellar and basement cinema. A magnificent home with great attention to detail down to the water storage tanks and generator.

Impressive penthouse in Umhlanga Rocks with breath-taking views reached R2.37 million. This 126m2 apartment has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, two enclosed parking bays and is close to all amenities. A superb investment as a buy-to-let or for a holiday home.

Tranquil offices, ideal for refurbishment, located in the sought after suburb of Edenburg in Rivonia, went for R5 million. The property is close to all amenities, boasts numerous offices in excellent condition, is vacant and has a GLA of ± 946m2. Business Zone 4 in place.

According to Joff Van Reenen, Director and Lead Auctioneer at High Street Auctions, "the auction industry is growing year on year, certainly in the property space, where our auctions have become a trusted trading platform. Live auctions are still the preferred choice for discerning and serious buyers and sellers. It is exciting and has an element of allure."

Although this year began with the first interest rate increase in six years and a higher fuel price, we anticipate that the increased demand for property experienced during the latter half of 2013 will continue, resulting in an ongoing rise in property prices during 2014, concludes James Dall, Joint Managing Director of High Street Auctions.
