Answering the call to upskill South Africa, Redefine Properties is introducing four Business Administration Learnerships in 2013 for young, promising South Africans with their sights set on a career in the country’s exciting and growing listed property sector.

Redefine Property"We are committed to social responsibility and positive growth in all sectors in our society," says Renske Coetzee, Redefine's Head of Human Resources.

Coetzee explains the learners get a recognised qualification in business administration and practical industry-related experience in South Africa's second largest JSE-listed property company.

The company's local investment assets comprise 253 properties valued at R21,1 billion and a R5,6 billion portfolio of strategic listed property securities. Redefine is internationally diversified through its direct interest in ASX-listed Cromwell Property Group and JSE-listed Redefine Properties International Limited, which has a 71,7% stake in LSE-listed subsidiary Redefine International PLC.

Redefine recently debuted on the JSE's Socially Responsible Investment Index for its commitment to environment, society, governance, sustainability and climate change. The sought-after learnership opportunities contribute to Redefine's positive impact on society and sustainability.

The recruitment process for prospective candidates is intensive and designed to screen and select high calibre individuals who will benefit from this career-boosting opportunity.

Redefine recently hosted students from Wits University, University of Johannesburg and University of Pretoria at an open day to introduce Redefine's Business Administration Learnerships for 2013.

"Top graduates will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience at a leading property company while completing their qualification in Business Administration," says Coetzee. "The programme will kick off with an induction and orientation programme, then its full-steam ahead with the learning programme."

Redefine's learnership programme comprises structured learning as well as practical, on-the-job training in all facets of property management.

"We are excited about the programme and confident that Redefine will help upskill the nation to create a better future for South Africa, the property sector and the next generation of business leaders," says Coetzee.
