Keya Rona Shopping Centre, meaning, "It is Ours", is located on the R556 off the N4 in the greater municipal area of Madibeng. This area is located approximately 70km's from Sun City and is situated between Brits and Rustenburg in the North West Province.

The land was obtained from the local government via a 50-year land lease and will be transferred to the Community Trust after this period, ensuring that the centre truly "becomes theirs".

The Mall is a collaboration between Mike Masemola and Francois Fouche who started working together in 2005 and jointlythey successfully developed Moratiwa Crossing near Groblersdal in 2007. As a company they believe in not only collaborating with the local community but also improving their lives and accordingly they have donated amongst other things a palisade fence to the value of R84,000 to surround the existing community hall.

The fully let Keya Rona shopping centre will be 10,400m2 of retail heaven, with 89% of the centre having national tenants such as Shoprite, Nedbank, Standard Bank, ABSA, Jet, KFC, Pep, Ackermansand Mr Price taking space. There will be a smorgasbord of 32 stores to choose from, with major fashion, food, bank, grocery, doctor's roomsand other services such as a hair salon and post office being included. Another feather in its cap is the inclusion of the Madibeng Community Radio Station that will operate on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis.

Keya Rona will be the first of its kind in the area and will accommodate over 200 parking bays and commuters will be catered for with a drop off facility. The closest competitive shopping centre is in Mooi Nooi and other centres are situated up to 23kms away in Brits and Rustenburg respectively. Keya Rona Shopping Centre will ensure that patrons from the surrounding area will save substantially on transport costs, with many even being within walking distance of the centre.

The Centre is situated on the main arterial road, which will make for easy access. A Total Garage will also form part of the development and will be operational during the early months of 2013.

The construction, which was spearheaded by Robert Skinner Construction, ensured that numerous work opportunities for the local community were created and once the Mall is trading even more permanent jobs will be on offer.

Keya Rona is scheduled to open its doors on Thursday, 15 November 2012 with a grand opening planned for the 30th of November 2012.
