Asrin Property Developers' high-profile image has been re-inforced by a move from Rondebosch East to new head offices in Palmyra Road, Newlands.
The affirmative action company's new accommodation was formerly a large Edwardian family home with some 300m2 of floor space.
Since purchasing it, Asrin has converted and upgraded it to provide seven offices, some enclosed and some open-plan.
Extensive use has been made of upmarket finishes and fittings such as sandstone and granite tiles, down lighting and indoor plants. Top-level security systems have also been installed. Ishmael Essa said the new premises had been needed for a long time because of the fast expansion of his company.
The record projected turnover for the coming year will be generated by: l Ruby's Place, a 54-unit sectional title development in Rondebosch, now fully sold out and with construction under way.
l Longrove Mews (in partnership with tau Pride). This has 51 units, again all sold out, and construction work began towards the end of last year.
l Sunrise Beach, Muizenberg. This has 30 freestanding units, of which 26 are sold. Building began in November.
l Tuscana Close at Somerset West. This is sold out and building will be completed by April. The development has attracted international buyers. l Falcon Crest at Tyger Falls.
This, possibly the most ambitious project yet tackled by Asrin, will provide 67 units in a five-storey block and 900m2 of retail space.
Civils 2000 have all but completed the platform and building by Murray and Roberts began recently.
l Ascot Knights at Milnerton. Work on the first phase of 51 units, which sold out in 48 hours, is about to start.
