Leading property management company, Broll Property Group, has added another two premium contracts to its extensive portfolio, further strengthening its position in the property management sector

Preston GaddyWestwood Shopping Centre in KwaZuluNatal and Goldfields Mall, a brand new shopping centre in Welkom, Free State, have both outsourced their complete property management requirements to Broll’s team of experts. This includes the management of all operations, admin processes, rent collection, statement generation, leasing and facilities management.

“Broll’s focus on exceptional service and forward-thinking problem solving are the key components of their success, and the full spectrum services offered are a great asset within our portfolio.” notes Hester Robinson of Retail Africa.

Welkom’s newest shopping centre, Goldfields Mall, measuring 35,000sqm which opened at the end of October, has opted for Broll’s specialised services to ensure that all leasing, facilities management and financial administration needs are taken care of.

“Broll is already active in the Bloemfontein area, where we provide full management services at the popular Mimosa Mall,” explains Gaddy. “This move further afield into Welkom bodes well for our expanding footprint in the region, and we are determined to ensure that Goldfields Mall becomes a valuable asset and node of retail excellence for the community.”

Gaddy believes that Goldfields Mall’s strong national retail component, comprising Checkers, Woolworths, Edgars, Truworths and Mr Price will appeal to the local market, and other retailers who want to benefit from this unique retail opportunity.

“Staff members have been appointed and service providers have been finalised, including a security company, in the build up to opening,” notes Gaddy.

“The 38,000sqm Westwood Centre, owned by a property consortium with Retail Africa the main shareholder, is an existing client where Broll provided administration services only. We are delighted therefore that they have decided to extend their requirements to include our full spectrum of property management services,” says Preston Gaddy, Retail Portfolio Executive for Broll.

Westwood Centre is well entrenched in the Westville area, which provides a unique experience to shoppers. Gaddy’s first challenge, he says, is to implement a new strategic letting plan for the centre.

“The centre is anchored by an excellent collection of leading national retailers, including Pick n Pay, Edgars, Truworths and Dis-Chem, and we are already receiving excellent feedback from prospective tenants keen on the opportunities offered by the existing retail mix and shopper profile.
