The auctioneering industry is showing that demand for coastal properties is on the rise as more and more homes along the South African coastline are being sold via the auction mechanism

Property-Housing-ResidentialCraig Berman of Auction Alliance says that more and more investors are looking to acquire coastal property to boost their buy-to-let portfolio, to rent as holiday accommodation or to purchase as a personal retreat. ‘’Through our auctions we create activity and bring a real result which investors take note of. More and more coastal properties are being sold on the auction floor and we anticipate this trend to grow with time.’’

Auction Alliance will take to auction arguably two of the finest pieces of coastal real estate in the country.

The first property, situated on the world-renowned Clifton Third Beach, is an ultra modern, meticulously designed home. The keyless villa is set on 181m2 and fronts directly onto the beach. The apartment features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a heated, rim-flow, jet stream pool, pool deck, sauna, jacuzzi and Gaggenau appliances. The touch control Gira system manages the intelligent lighting, blinds and piped music throughout the home. The imported finishes and furnishing are world class and have been skillfully arranged in a home with countless conveniences.

The second property, which has caused a stir amongst eager investors in the KZN area, is a luxury home situated in the exclusive Zimbali Estate in Kwa-Zulu Natal. The beauty and splendour of Zimbali is exemplified in what is widely regarded as South Africa’s finest villa along the Indian Ocean. The residence is set on 2200m2 of landscaped gardens, hidden amongst the lush indigenous forest, guaranteeing privacy and boasting beautiful views.

Inspired by Thai-Balinese architecture, the interior comes alive with Island French Colonial influences, evident in the 3.3 metre high ceilings and solid teak staircase. Furnished to international standards, including unique antiques and treasures sourced from around the world, the 875m2 villa features four luxurious, en-suite bedrooms, a cathedral ceilinged kitchen with its own dining area, conversational and relaxation lounges, large dining areas, a rim-flow and courtyard pool, Koi ponds and outdoor patios.

Auction Alliance will also take a vacant stand, located next to the new Fairmont Hotel, to auction. The site is set forward from the other residences so that when completed the building will have 180 degree uninterrupted sea views. It is completely surrounded by virgin, indigenous forest that guarantees privacy.
