Lending further impetus to securing new business for property management, JHI Real Estate has been appointed by Redefine Income Fund to manage a commercial portfolio with a value of      R205 million.

Andrew Teixeira, property management director of JHI Real Estate, commented that the portfolio is enjoying tremendous growth since it was listed on the JSE on 23 February 2000, has a high occupancy track record and good calibre tenant mix.

“The portfolio consists of 17 A-grade commercial buildings situated in Bruma and the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg.”

“We currently manage properties with a market value of R5,3 billion and are aggressively sourcing additional portfolios to manage. “

Teixeira adds that the trend to out-source the property management function is continuing, as more property owners realise the long-term benefits of focussing on their core business rather than property management specific functions.
