Erbacon has announced the appointment of Sean Joseph Flanagan as its new CEO, with immediate effect.

Erbacon Investment Holdings, a provider of construction services on Tuesday announced the appointment of Sean Joseph Flanagan as its new CEO, with immediate effect.

Flanagan brings more than 27 year's industry-specific experience to Erbacon, the last 20 of which he served with the Murray & Roberts group where he was executive director, Erbacon said.

"His key achievements have been in the setting and implementing of group strategy, arranging and leading mergers and acquisitions, and taking executive responsibility for a large portfolio of businesses and major projects, including the Gautrain Rapid Rail and Cape Town Stadium projects," the group said.

Outgoing CEO, David Boyd Erskineis set to remain as an executive director of Erbacon and has elected to focus his attention as MD of the businesses he founded, Erbacon Construction and Erbacon Small Plant, Erbacon concluded.
