RICS regulation provides assurance to markets and the public that we are enforcing the highest standards in property, land and construction, and it is a great privilege to be leading the institution s Regulation team as we enter a new global era for the profession. As we grow recognition of the profession across the key economies and markets of the world, standards, supported by regulation. are the heart of everything we do.

I very much look forward to building on the success of RICS regulation, which is the envy of other professions. Our aim is to ensure that RICS members wherever in the world they might be - continue to be viewed by their clients as offering the highest standards across the property profession. Status and recognition are the greatest member benefits we can offer and RICS Regulation underpins those benefits.

By working to high standards of technical, ethical and professional competence, RICS members make a vital contribution to the efficient running of the UK s property market and, increasingly markets across the world. We seek to promote the benefits of regulation and, by doing so, create demand for RICS standards and credentials.
