The Master Builders Association North (MBA North) has launched comprehensive COVID-19 health and safety consulting and training services to help the region’s construction sector to prepare for a return to work as quickly as possible after restrictions are lifted.

A group of construction industry stakeholders has urged the industry to return to basics in order to overcome its current challenges successfully.

Construction remains a male-dominated industry but there are signs that women are starting to become better represented in this sector – to its great potential benefit.

The announcement on the 15 June 2018 that Basil Read Construction is applying for business rescue is a clear indication of the critical state of the construction industry, says Mohau Mphomela, Executive Director, Master Builders Association North.
