Upgrades for un-tolled Gauteng roads

Gauteng motorists will soon enjoy upgraded and wider un-tolled roads.

Construction has begun on the R24-billion Savanna City lifestyle housing development situated near Orange Farm, 35km outside of Johannesburg.

Gauteng premier Nomvula Mokonyane welcomes a multi-billion rand deal with a Chinese firm to turn property in Modderfontein into a business hub.

Gauteng motorists are to pay more toll fees, with provincial government adding more roads.

The transport dept's decision to temporarily suspend the implementation of electronic toll-road fees in Gauteng was made to avoid 'choking' the economy.
