Steps to grow Ekurhuleni's economy

Ekurhuleni Executive Mayor Mondli Gungubele on Wednesday outlined bold steps to grow the economy of the City and create jobs.

During the 1980s, much of the land between Johannesburg and Tshwane stood vacant. Farms, coupled with just a handful of factories, dotted the 60-odd kilometre highway stretch spanning the two cities.

R101m development project for Ekurhuleni

Ekurhuleni Executive Mayor Mondli Gungubele has launched a R101 million ward based project aimed at creating jobs and fighting poverty in the region.

On Monday 4 February Investec Property celebrated breaking ground at the site of a new shopping centre in Mayfield, Daveyton, with a sod-turning ceremony.
