R6bn to develop Pretoria's inner city

Consortium spearheaded by veteran entrepreneur Anna Mokgokong is expected to pump R6bn into the development of a vast piece of land in Pretoria.

Durban is like any other urban space; it suffers from decay and is constantly in need of regeneration.

Propertuity and Pam Golding Properties (PGP) have announced that they have entered into a strategic partnership in which PGP will not only market residential accommodation in one of Johannesburg’s most vibrant and trendy precincts, Maboneng, but it will also provide strategic guidance and advice.

The huge shortage of student accommodation and decent housing close to places of work has led to property group Citiq purchasing two sets of grain silos in Newtown, with the intention of converting them into residences.

Johannesburg’s inner city and surrounds continue to show signs of regeneration. Slowly but surely the streets really are being taken back by a number of dedicated and insightful players.

New broom sweeping through Tshwane

There’s a new broom sweeping through Tshwane and it has some ambitious plans. Beginning on the inside track back in April when the City corralled the Ethics Institute of SA and the South African Bureau of Standards into helping the city obtain a cleaned-up and world-class governance system.  Now on the outside, in the words of city manager, Jason Ngobeni, we want to take our city back “street by street.”

High level recognition of the critical need for entry level homes is manifesting in the regeneration of some of the country’s inner cities, and nowhere is this more apparent than in the City of Johannesburg, says Mike Bester, CEO of Realty 1 International Property Group
