Public Works Minister Stella Sigcau says South Africa's construction and property industries are to receive massive boosts following the announcement that the country would be hosting the continents first Pan African Parliament (PAP).

THE construction sector would do well to introduce black economic empowerment partners as soon as possible because some large government contracts are expected to be put out to tender in the next year or so.

Lodon- Actis Capital, a London-based buyout firm that invests in African and Asian companies, has committed $40 million (R252 million) to build a shopping mall in Lagos, Nigeria's biggest city.
