City Lodge Hotels expects demand for its rooms to continue exceeding expectations in the year ahead after it increased occupancies in 2015.

City Lodge says it expects full-year normalised diluted headline earnings per share to be between 8% and 13% higher than in 2013.

City Lodge reports a 14% rise in normalised diluted HEPS to 330.5c in the 6 months to December from the same period a year ago.

JSE-listed City Lodge Hotels said on Tuesday the development of its 150-room City Lodge Waterfall City had begun, with the hotel scheduled to open toward the end of 2014.
