The recent opening of the R330 million Carletonville Mall on the West Rand has re-ignited interest in the residential property market in Carletonville itself, which has, like many mining towns, gone through some challenging times over the past few years.

Carletonville Mall – the new R330 million 26,000sqm shopping destination in the famous gold-mining town on Gauteng’s West Rand opened its doors on Thursday, 29 October 2015, to the delight of thousands of shoppers and visitors.

A new R330 million shopping centre is being developed on Gauteng’s West Rand by the Bentel Group, in association with Pretoria-based Fontis Developments, and designed to serve the gold-mining town of Carletonville and the neighbouring township Khutsong.
