The centre will be housed within Attfund Ltd, the award winning property investment fund that Atterbury Holdings co-founded in 2002.
Clearwater Lifestyle Centre is on the doorstep of Clearwater Mall and will enhance the Lifestyle Mall shopping experience by adding a myriad of specialist home and décor outlets to an already impressive retail choice.
“The centre will complement the Mall and both parties will enjoy overflow business from one another,” says Coenie Bezuidenhout of Atterbury Property.
The land is zoned for multi use business rights but the centre will only cater to tenants with a specific lifestyle, décor and value focus. “We are currently in the process of recruiting tenants and the interest has been very positive,” says Bezuidenhout. “Clearwater Lifestyle Centre will be surrounded by a growing upmarket residential and commercial area and it is speculated that this décor centre will become somewhat of a buzzword amongst decorators, designers and ‘house proud’ individuals.”
Located near the intersection of two major arterial roads namely Christiaan de Wet and Hendrik Potgieter, the Lifestyle Centre is positioned in what is known to be the fastest growing commercial and residential node in Gauteng. Areas such as Struben’s Valley, Northcliff, Florida Glen, Little Falls, Ruimsig, Constantia Kloof and Allen’s Nek make up this node.
“A massive benefit exists for retail tenants in the centre,” says Bezuidenhout. “Whilst the centre will be new, the node is already established from a commercial and residential perspective.”
Almost two years ago this project was launched, however due to zoning legalities and hiccups, had to be temporarily shelved. The zoning has now been sorted out and the project has been given the official go-ahead to proceed.
Abundant parking, accessibility and visibility from major routes, as well as a premium selection of tenants will position Clearwater Lifestyle Centre as unique and incomparable in terms of other lifestyle, décor and value outlets around the country. Construction is expected to be completed by June 2008.
