Giuricich Bros Construction, the leading South African family-owned construction firm, has continued its 77-year tradition as an Italian master builder with an elegant trio of new residential developments.

The Giuricich name has been behind built-to-last residential developments since Giuricich Bros first designed and constructed Aurora Court in 1940. Next, it was St Martin luxury apartments in 1948 in Claim Street. Hillbrow, which today belongs to the Johannesburg Housing company, and is among its most successful residential blocks in the city - a testament to its original craftsmanship. This prized address was built by Nicolo’, Cesare, Simon Giuricich and grand-father Matteo Giuricich, using no mechanisation and only the physical work of these exceptional tradesmen. The building includes 42 flats over six floors, basement parking and, at the time two lifts were installed. All this was adorned by top-class finishes.

In 2004, Giuricich Bros delivered the successful Ealing Broadway, Bryanston, one of the first iconic developments in the Bryanston Sloane Precinct node. The 24-unit residential development sold out in an afternoon with its popularity underpinned by construction excellence, beautiful designs by prominent architects GLH and high-end finishes.

Building on its legacy of residential development excellence established over three generations, Giuricich recently completed The Precinct, a residential complex of 13 luxurious townhouses in Rivonia. This year, Giuricich Bros delivered 21 luxury apartments at Artatore in Bryanston, and it will soon begin constructing 20 upmarket apartments at 33 on Bevan in Rivonia.

From its earliest successes, Giuricich Bros has grown a sterling track record of delivering many landmark residential and commercial construction projects countrywide through diverse and multifaceted developments.

This includes The Oysterbox Hotel redevelopment in Umhlanga, the eminently stylish Idiom Restaurant and Wine Centre at Da Capo Vineyards in Somerset West, the 6-Star Green Star SA Office Design certified WWF offices in Johannesburg, the 20 West Street Capital Hotel building in Sandton, and motor showrooms for the likes of Mercedes-Benz. Its largest project so far is the 48,000sqm regional Springs Mall, which opened in March this year.

Julian Giuricich, director at Giuricich Bros, says: “Over seven decades, Giuricich Bros has built up its construction expertise and pedigree. Our ethos of ‘quality above all else’ is clearly reflected in our residential developments with a deep dedication to detail.”

Giuricich Bros residential projects create a beautiful marriage of quality, design, craft, affordable pricing and excellent positions.

The first residents of Artatore in Bryanston will start moving in before the end of the year, with only a few units still available.  Artatore features a contemporary leading edge design with modern Italian flair, incorporating airy open-plan living in two and three bedroom garden units, plus first- and second-floor simplexes with balconies.

It has all the special finishing touches like Smeg stoves, Italtile finishes, Optima kitchens, Geobella shower doors, Tivoli taps, Franke sinks, fibre optic backbone, energy-saving heat pumps and covered parking bays.

Next in line for Giuricich Bros Construction is the intimate 33 on Bevan complex in Rivonia. Its development will begin shortly and it is already around 50% sold off-plan. 33 on Bevan’s 20 north-facing units feature sleek Italian design in a safe boomed area that is close to good schools, retail, entertainment and business amenities.

Options include two and three bedroom ensuite units, garden simplexes and upstairs apartments with balconies. These apartments also feature Italtile finishes, Smeg stoves, generous appliance space, covered parking, cost-saving heat pumps and fibre optic backbone.

“We are hugely proud to deliver residential developments of distinction. For Giuricich Bros Construction, our family values and Italian passion have a big influence on our approach to creating quality residential living,” reports Julian Giuricich.

As one of South Africa’s largest privately owned and managed construction companies Giuricich Bros is committed to the country and passionate about driving positive impacts that support and grow the society, the economy, skilled people and local business.
