Sun City still ranks as one of the best holiday destinations amongst South Africans, with the resort receiving yet another award for Best Holiday Resort, this time as voted for by the readers of Pretoria News.

This is the fifth award Sun City has scooped in recent months which have been based on votes from the public.

The recent awards, including a readers’ choice award from an Australian family magazine, bear testimony to the intensified focus on reengineering Sun City’s hospitality, food and beverage, and entertainment offerings to deliver greater diversity, improved facilities, and value for money.

“That South African holiday-makers rate Sun City as the top holiday resort is a great source ofpride for us. Our guests are the lifeblood of our business and we will continue to model and evolve our offering to ensure that Sun City remains relevant to them,” says Mike van Vuuren, the Managing Executive at Sun City.

An ambitious R800-million refurbishment project is currently underway at the resort to revitalise its iconic appeal and ensure that it retains its rightful place as South Africa’s entertainment mecca, and one of the most exciting leisure destinations in the world.
