The commercial property market has leapt into action early this year and is gearing up for a period of active trading

Auction AllianceBlocks of flats, retail properties and key industrial sites will form the strongest part of the market over coming months. During February a number of these properties will be offered at Auction Alliance’s national commercial auctions.

The Auction Alliance February national commercial auctions begin in Cape Town on February 15. A wide variety of commercial and industrial properties will be on offer including, a hotel development site on Beach Road, Blouberg, an office unit in de Waterkant, a 3-story, A-grade commercial building of 286m² in the heart of Cape Town, a magnificent 22-bedroom guest house in Paarl, three vacant pieces of land in the exclusive Shelley Point Golf Estate and various other investment opportunities. The auction takes place at the Crystal Towers Hotel & Spa, Century City at 12pm.
 
February 16 will be a busy day with commercial multiple auctions taking place in Johannesburg and Durban. At the Johannesburg auction, which takes place at 12pm at The Hilton Hotel, 138 Rivonia Road, Sandton, properties such as a 3964m² development site in Sandton, a Polokwane depot, owned by Chevron South Africa, a well-situated commercial property with a GLA of 1,804 m2 in Linbro Park and various motor showrooms across Gauteng will go under the hammer.
 
The Durban monthly commercial auction takes place at the Oyster Box Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks at 11am and investment opportunities include 2ha of industrial land and a high-income retail property in Pietermaritzburg, a landmark ecclesiastical building of 3 332m² in Durban North, a neighbourhood retail centre in Avoca Hills, a superb B&B in Umhlanga and even a 10.4992ha equestrian estate.
