Construction group Wilson Bayly Holmes - Ovcon Ltd advised on Wednesday that after reviewing the consolidated results for the group to date the earnings per share and the headline earnings per share are expected to be between 15% and 20% higher for the six months ended 31 December 2009 than those reported for the six months ended 31 December 2008.

"The results for the first half of the 2009 financial year were appreciably lower than those achieved for the second half of that year.

It is therefore unlikely that the increase in earnings above will be maintained for the full 2010 financial year," the group stated.

The release of the interim announcement of results for the six months ended 31 December 2009 is expected to be published on Tuesday, 23 February 2010.
